The inaugural BancABC Roots Impact Programme got off to an exciting start on Saturday as provincial teams from across Zimbabwe took to the field in the first round of fixtures.
Hosted across Harare, Bulawayo and Masvingo, the opening day showcased the depth of emerging talent within Zimbabwean football. Young players competed in the Under-14 and Under-16 boys’ and girls’ categories, providing an encouraging glimpse into the future of the game.

The matches formed part of ZIFA’s long-term vision to establish a structured national youth development pathway through the BancABC Roots Impact Programme, ensuring talented players from every province have an opportunity to develop in a safe, competitive and merit-based environment.
