Warriors head coach Michael Nees continued his nationwide visits to Premier Soccer League clubs, underlining his commitment to building stronger ties with local teams and players. Over the past few months, Nees has made it a point to interact with technical teams, share insights, and closely assess talent in training sessions.
His journey has already taken him to giants like Caps United, Dynamos, Herentals and Yadah, as well as newcomers MWOS FC and Scottland FC. Today, the German tactician made his way to Mhondoro Ngezi, where he visited former champions Ngezi Platinum Stars. The club, currently sitting third on the PSL log, is guided by Takesure Chiragwi—Nees’ trusted assistant in the Warriors setup.

The visit highlighted Nees’ philosophy of collaboration and grassroots engagement, ensuring that national team structures remain connected to the domestic game. “Zimbabwean football is rich with passion and potential. Every visit I make allows me to understand not just the players, but also the culture and community around the game. This is how we grow together,” Nees said.

During his visit to Mhondoro, Nees also took time to stop at the popular KwaTerry restaurant, where he enjoyed traditional Zimbabwean dishes and shared moments with the locals, adding a personal touch to his trip.
Through these visits, Nees is not only scouting talent but also reinforcing a shared vision for Zimbabwean football—one rooted in unity, pride, and opportunity. His presence in Mhondoro serves as a reminder that the Warriors’ journey is built not just in stadiums, but in the everyday lives of the people who live and breathe the game.
