Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) President Nqobile Magwizi has been appointed to serve on the FIFA Commercial and Marketing Advisory Committee – a key global body that provides strategic guidance on FIFA’s commercial and marketing activities.
The appointment, made in line with the provisions of the FIFA Statutes and FIFA Governance Regulations, will see Magwizi serve a four-year term from 2025 to 2029.
This significant recognition underscores Zimbabwe’s growing presence and influence within global football governance structures. The FIFA Commercial and Marketing Advisory Committee plays an instrumental role in shaping strategies that drive the growth, visibility, and sustainability of the global game through marketing innovation, sponsorship, and fan engagement.
Speaking on his appointment, Magwizi said:
“It is an honour to represent Zimbabwe and Africa at this level of world football administration. This appointment is not only a personal milestone but a reflection of the strides we are making as a nation to reassert our place within the global football family.
