The Zimbabwe Football Association today hosted COSAFA presidents at its Head Office at Tendeseka Office Park in Eastlea, Harare, as part of activities around the COSAFA Congress being held in the capital.

The regional football leaders were welcomed by ZIFA President Nqobile Magwizi, who led them on a tour of the Association’s offices and introduced them to members of the ZIFA Secretariat. The visit provided an opportunity for COSAFA member association presidents to appreciate ZIFA’s administrative environment, engage with staff, and share in the Association’s renewed sense of institutional stability and professionalisation.

For ZIFA, the visit was also a proud moment of regional solidarity, coming at a time when Zimbabwe is hosting key football leaders from across Southern Africa. It underlined the spirit of cooperation, friendship and shared purpose that continues to define the COSAFA region.

ZIFA President Nqobile Magwizi said the visit was a meaningful gesture of support from fellow football leaders. “We are honoured to welcome our brothers and colleagues from the COSAFA region to the ZIFA Head Office,” said Magwizi. “Their presence here is a strong expression of friendship and solidarity. As ZIFA, we value the relationships we continue to build within the region, because the growth of football in Southern Africa depends on cooperation, trust and shared commitment.”

Botswana Football Association President Oabile Thona Tariq Babitseng commended ZIFA for hosting the delegation and noted the importance of regional associations learning from and supporting one another. “It is always encouraging to see member associations opening their doors to colleagues within the region,” said Babitseng. “Football grows stronger when we share experiences, support each other and work together for the good of the game. We are pleased to be here in Zimbabwe and to witness the positive work being done by ZIFA.”

The visit added to the warm atmosphere surrounding the COSAFA Congress in Harare, with Zimbabwe embracing its role as host and reaffirming its commitment to the development and unity of Southern African football.
