The ZIFA Elections Committee hereby announces the results of the ZIFA Members’ Elections 2025, conducted in accordance with the ZIFA Statutes and the ZIFA Electoral Code.
The Elections Committee records with appreciation the cooperation received from all stakeholders, including accredited voters, contesting candidates, the ZIFA Secretariat, and security personnel, which enabled the conduct of a generally orderly and credible election process.
The Elections Committee advises stakeholders that the elections for Mashonaland East Province Chairperson resulted in a tie. A re-run was conducted in line with electoral procedure, however, the re-run also resulted in a tie.
Accordingly, the Elections Committee will not declare a winner at this stage. A new date and venue for the Mashonaland East Chairperson election will be communicated through an official notice once administrative arrangements have been finalised.
The list of all duly elected candidates for the elections concluded is attached to this Memorandum as Annexure A.
